What to Expect During Surgery
Consistently voted the “Best of Durham,” by Durham Magazine our veterinarians at Colony Park Animal Hospital have extensive experience to provide the best surgical skills for your pet. When your cat or dog undergoes a surgical procedure, our veterinarians will carefully tailor pain management and anesthetic protocols to your pet’s individual needs. Pain assessments will be performed during and after the surgery and multi-modal pain management protocols will be utilized. Throughout surgery, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, capnography, ECG and temperature are all monitored by our surgical assistants on a real-time basis. Following surgery, your pet is closely tracked to ensure a safe and smooth recovery.
